JM Controls and Electric was contracted for the emergency replacement of a 35KV Switcher. Our scope of work included;
               
                – Isolate, ground and LOTO the defective piece of equipment. Review JHA with all personal on site
                – Arrange shipping and rigging of new switcher from customer warehouse to substation
                – Work with customer to block trip condition in relay, and remove control wiring safely
                – Disconnect and remove old switcher, install new switcher c/w controls and M.V. cables
                – Charge new breaker with SF-6 gas and check for leaks
                – Re-energize equipment and test
                – Remove old breaker from site and arrange shipment of RMA’d equipment back to the equipment manufacture
The job was a success and an excellent example how our 24/7 service can expedite equipment replacement and keep your system’s downtime to a minimum.
